Placement
Class placement is determined solely at the discretion of the instructor. Students may not join or transfer into a class without the instructor’s approval. This ensures that each student is placed in an environment that supports their growth and development.
Class placements are subject to change throughout the year based on the instructor’s assessment of the student’s progress and technical development.
Consistent, year-round dance study leads to the most significant technical growth and progress. Regular participation allows students to build on their skills, refine their technique, and achieve their personal best.
Adding Or Dropping Classes
If you wish to add or drop a class from your schedule, you must notify us in writing via email at studio@boutiquedanceacademy.com.
If the class to be added is not full, you may begin attending once you’ve completed registration for that class.
To drop a class, families must submit a written withdrawal notice to studio@boutiquedanceacademy.com no later than the 10th of the month to avoid being charged for the following month’s full tuition. If a withdrawal notice is received after the 10th of the month, you will be responsible for the full tuition amount for the following month, as BDA holds a reserved spot for your dancer in their class.
Tuition is billed monthly, not by the class, and we do not offer prorated tuition, credits, or refunds for mid-month withdrawals.
Missed Class Make-Up Policy
Make-up classes are available but must be used within 30 days of the missed class. Dancers must take a make-up class that aligns with their age and level. Make-up classes are not available for Company classes.
We do not offer refunds or make adjustments to tuition for any missed classes. Tuition remains the same regardless of attendance.
Cancellation Policy
We strive to provide clarity and transparency regarding our withdrawal process. To ensure fairness and consistency, we have established the following guidelines for all enrolled families.
Families must submit a written withdrawal notice to studio@boutiquedanceacademy.com no later than the 10th of the month to avoid being charged for the following month’s full tuition. If a withdrawal notice is received after the 10th of the month, you will be responsible for the full tuition amount for the following month, as BDA holds a reserved spot for your dancer in their class.
Tuition is billed on a monthly basis and is not calculated per class. We do not offer prorated tuition, credits, or refunds for mid-month withdrawals.
This policy ensures that our studio can maintain balanced class sizes and adequate staffing to provide the best experience for all dancers. If you have any questions or need further clarification, please feel free to email us at studio@boutiquedanceacademy.com.
Snow Closures
BDA follows the Douglas County School District for all weather-related closures. If the school district cancels after-school activities, BDA will also be closed.
To stay up-to-date on closures, please check our website and social media channels. We will also send closure notifications via email to keep families informed.
Drop-Off and Pick-up
When dropping off your child at the studio, please ensure they have safely entered the building before leaving. This policy is in place to prioritize student safety and supervision.
At the end of a dancer’s scheduled class, students must be picked up promptly. This allows us to maintain a safe and organized environment for all dancers.
Parent Viewing
Parents are not permitted to enter classrooms once a scheduled class has begun. Instructors may invite parents in during the last five minutes of class at their discretion. Waving, signaling, or correcting your child from the viewing windows is prohibited, as it causes distractions and hinders the learning experience for all students.
All shoes, bags, messages, and early pick-ups must be arranged with your child and/or the instructor before class begins. This ensures minimal disruptions during class time and allows for a more focused learning environment.
Issues & Meetings Policy
If you need to speak with a staff member, please avoid interrupting teachers and choreographers during class time. To resolve any issues or address concerns, you may schedule an appointment with the studio director and the instructor.
Appointments can be arranged by visiting the front desk or emailing studio@boutiquedanceacademy.com.
Cell Phones & Smart Watches
When attending class, all cell phones, smartwatches, and similar electronic devices must be turned off and stored in the dancer’s dance bag. This policy helps maintain focus and minimizes distractions during class time.
BDA is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
Food & Drink
To support our dancers, a filtered water fountain is available for filling water bottles and containers. However, no food or drink is allowed in the dance rooms except for water. Chewing gum is also not permitted during class.
Communication
Regular studio updates and important announcements will be provided via email to all registered families. For the latest highlights and promotions, you can also follow us on social media by following the links at the bottom of this page.
